Demolition of Devonport Navy Wharf

Client: Hawkins Construction/New Zealand Navy

Yakka were contracted by Hawkins Construction to undertake the demolition of the Syncrolift Wharf in the Devonport Naval base. The scope of the contract included the removal of the wharf deck and the cutting and removal of the piles at sea level. Yakka through the use of our underwater wire saw successfully removed these piles working from a control station based on a barge.
