Lancaster Park, Christchurch – Demolition
Yakka were engaged to demolish the Robbie Deans and Paul Kelly stands.
This was a project that included both cut and crane techniques as well as high reach demolition.
The project required strict environmental controls whilst working at heights of up to 45m. Dust control and vibration were constantly monitored whilst utilising a range of mitigation techniques.
The resulting 70,000 tons of concrete was all crushed and reused, resulting in 99.5% of the waste from this project being diverted from landfill.
